IZJAVA ŽIRIJA
Žiri u sastavu
Filip Ćetković (Garage Fire!), muzičar
Aleksandar Delibašić (Bad Music For Bad People), koncertni promoter
Dragan Živanović (vlasnik Pinball Wizard Records), DJ
Tough Guys of America (Beograd)
Hod (Beograd)
Ego (Niš)
Empathy(Zrenjanin)
Culture Shack by James w. Stodgel is the winner of the Urban Bundle Competition 2012.
“The strength of this informal and playful project is coming out of the use of conventional material and structure that may inspire citizens to appropriate it. It’s rough construction and self-made aesthetics are very suitable for a kind of bottom up redevelopment of Savamala. Though discretely upgrading the chosen site, its location is certainly not within the core area of Savamala and needs to be reconsidered.”
URBAN BUNDLE COMPETITION
Dear All,
Thank you for submitting your projects to URBAN BUNDLE competition.
JURY ANNOUNCEMENT
Jury
Tim Rieniets (ETH Zurich)
Lars Hoglund (KTH Stockholm)
Ivan Kucina (BU Faculty of Architecture)
Among 35 works the jury has reached a common agreement on four works
that represent a spectrum of different design approaches towards Savamala.
Movement - artistic approach/urban recycling;
Savamala Rising - urban scale/contextual design;
Mikser’s Cloud - visionary approach/landmark;
Culture Shack – informal approach/upgrading site.
MOveMENT – 4x architects (Tatjana Ristanic, Filip Zlatkovic, Vuk Andric, Zelko Petkovic)
Using old car tires to design furniture for temporary use is a very rich and inspiring concept. The low value of the material will make it easy for people to appropriate the furniture and use in unexpected ways. In addition, the reuse of old and seemingly worthless material is an appropriate symbol of Savamala’s redevelopment. It needs some refinement, perhaps color and light. The construction of self-sustaining three-dimensional structures, however, is rather doubtful.
Savamala Rising – Vasco Lopes
This is the only project that is conceptualized on an urban scale. The great part is pin pointing the main quality of the area. The idea to refurbish the promenade temporarily and to play with people’s perception is valuable. However, the pavilion is pretty ambitious and does not manage to add much to the conceptual and aesthetic quality of the entry.
Mikser’s Cloud – Marco Corazza, Francesco Fusillo, Vincenzo Marcella, Paolo Oliva, Roberta Nardi
Mikser’s Cloud is a powerful gesture with landmark-quality and very poetic at the same time. However, financial, technical and safety issues are not addressed. It is not sure if this project would work, concerning the balloons lifting capacity or in respect to fire-hazard. It would, however be interesting to see - especially with some wind swaying it.
Cultural Shack – James W. Stodgel

Otvoreni konkursi i radionice predstavljaju zajednički imenitelj dugoročnih razvojnih planova organizacije Mikser i intenziviranih aktivnosti tokom istoimenog festivala kreativnosti i inovativnosti.
